SOBRE
La nave Producciones is an independent producer based in Havana, Cuba. Formed by the filmmakers Sheyla Pool and Zoe Garcia with the aim of carrying out their own works independently as well as collaborating with other filmmakers inside and outside Cuba. It arises from the need to diversify the audiovisual landscape within Cuba and to encourage an independent creative space.
With experience in the documentary realization as well as in the postproduction of sound La nave also provides services of audiovisual production.
Sheyla Pool (Havana, 1976).
Graduate of Hispanic Languages at University of Havana, she is also a graduate of Sound from the International School of Film and TV at San Antonio de los Baños. She has done sound designing and re-recording for several documentaries. She acted as consultant for the script of the fiction film “Esteban”. Currently she is working in the script for the fiction film “Vínculos”.
Zoe García (Havana 1985).
Graduate in Mass Communication Studies, specializing in photography at the Higher Institute of Art in Havana, Cuba. In 2008 she entered the regular course of documentary of Cinema and TV at the International School of Film and TV in Cuba. She has worked as screenwriter, assistant director and photographer. She has directed the following documentaries: “Todo Tiempo pasado fue Mejor”, “El Mundo de Raúl”, “Retrato”, “Submission”, “Solo de Cuica” and “El Vientre de la Ballena” which is currently being produced.
